Assignment Management

The Assignment Management section provides administrators with a comprehensive overview of all assignments created across Lumus LMS. This allows you to monitor academic activities, track assignment completion, and ensure proper assignment management.

Assignment Management Dashboard

Overview

Assignment Management enables you to:

  • View all assignments across all classes
  • Monitor assignment creation and deadlines
  • Track submission rates and completion
  • View assignment statistics
  • Export assignment data
  • Identify assignments requiring attention

Viewing All Assignments

Accessing Assignment Dashboard

  1. Log in to the administrator dashboard
  2. Click on "Assignment Management" in the navigation menu
  3. View the overview of all assignments

Assignment Overview

Assignment List View

The dashboard displays:

  • Assignment Title: Name of the assignment
  • Class: Class the assignment belongs to
  • Teacher: Teacher who created the assignment
  • Due Date: Assignment deadline
  • Status: Active, Completed, Overdue
  • Submissions: Number of submitted vs total students
  • Completion Rate: Percentage of students who submitted

Filtering Assignments

Filter by Class

  1. Use the "Class" dropdown filter
  2. Select a specific class
  3. View all assignments for that class

Class Filter

Filter by Teacher

  1. Select a teacher from the "Teacher" filter
  2. View all assignments created by that teacher
  3. Monitor teacher activity

Teacher Filter

Filter by Status

Filter assignments by:

  • Active: Currently open assignments
  • Upcoming: Assignments with future due dates
  • Overdue: Past due date assignments
  • Completed: Closed assignments

Status Filter

Filter by Date Range

  1. Click on the "Date Range" selector
  2. Choose start and end dates
  3. View assignments created or due in that period

Overall Statistics

The dashboard shows:

  • Total Assignments: Number of all assignments
  • Active Assignments: Currently open assignments
  • Overdue Assignments: Past due date count
  • Average Completion Rate: Overall submission percentage
  • Total Submissions: Number of completed submissions

Class-wise Statistics

View statistics for each class:

  • Number of assignments per class
  • Average completion rate per class
  • Most active classes
  • Classes with low submission rates

Viewing Assignment Details

Assignment Information

Click on any assignment to view:

  • Full Details: Title, description, instructions
  • Class Information: Class name and enrolled students
  • Teacher Details: Creator information
  • Due Date and Time: Deadline information
  • Submission Requirements: File types, size limits
  • Grading Information: Points, grading criteria

Submission Status

View submission status for each assignment:

  • Submitted: Students who have submitted
  • Pending: Students who haven't submitted yet
  • Graded: Submissions that have been graded
  • Ungraded: Submissions awaiting grading

View recent assignment activity:

  • Newly created assignments
  • Recent submissions
  • Recently graded assignments
  • Upcoming deadlines

  2. View assignments past their due date
  3. See submission status
  4. Identify students who haven't submitted
