Attendance Monitoring

The Attendance Monitoring section allows you to view your children's attendance records, track attendance statistics, and monitor attendance trends over time.

This section provides comprehensive attendance tracking including:

• Daily attendance records for each child
• Attendance statistics and percentages
• Attendance trends over time
• Attendance by course
• Absence and late arrival tracking

Viewing Attendance Records

Accessing Attendance

1. Log in to the parent dashboard
2. Navigate to "Attendance" or access through "My Children"
3. Select a child to view their attendance

Attendance Display

For each child, you'll see:

• Overall Attendance: Total attendance percentage
• Present Days: Number of days present
• Absent Days: Number of days absent
• Late Arrivals: Number of late arrivals
• Attendance by Course: Breakdown by each enrolled course

Attendance Statistics

Understanding Statistics

The dashboard displays:

• Attendance Rate: Percentage of classes attended
• Total Classes: Total number of classes scheduled
• Present Count: Number of classes attended

• Weekly Trends: Attendance by week

2. Select a date range
3. View daily attendance records

Daily Record Details

Each day shows:

• Date: The specific date
• Status: Present, Absent, or Late
• Course: Which course the attendance is for
• Time: Class time (if applicable)
• Notes: Any additional notes from the teacher

Attendance by Course

Course-Specific Attendance

1. Select a specific course
2. View attendance records for that course only
3. See course-specific statistics

Course Attendance Details

For each course:

• Course Name: Name of the course
• Attendance Rate: Percentage for that course
• Classes Attended: Number of classes attended
• Classes Missed: Number of classes missed
• Attendance Trend: How attendance has changed over time

Understanding Attendance Status

Status Types

• Present: Student attended the class
• Absent: Student did not attend the class
• Late: Student arrived late to the class
• Excused: Absence was excused (if applicable)

Status Indicators

Visual indicators help you quickly identify:

• Green: Good attendance
• Yellow: Moderate attendance issues
• Red: Poor attendance requiring attention

Receiving Alerts

You may receive notifications for:

• Low Attendance: Attendance drops below threshold

When you receive attendance alerts:

Issue: Attendance records not showing
